Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Location: Fully Remote (Global)
Commitment: Minimum 3 months | Max 15 hours/week
Start Date: April (Immediate, following 2-week trial)
Status: Open until filled

About Us

Black Moon Studio is a sanctuary for deep, holistic healing. We specialize in the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern wellness, offering guidance in Women’s Health, Shadow Work, Natural Remedies, Somatics, and Qi Gong.

We are looking for a proactive intern who resonates with our work. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a remote environment and wants to grow your portfolio while contributing to meaningful content, we want to hear from you.

your Role

We are seeking a tech-savvy, hands-on Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help us build a streamlined digital presence. You will be responsible for the architecture of our online home - taking our raw content and transforming it into a structured, automated system that welcomes and nurtures our community.

requirements

  • Tech Savvy: You know your way around social media backends, scheduling tools (like Later, Metricool, or Buffer), and email marketing automation (Mailchimp, Flodesk, etc.).

  • Editing Proficiency: Comfortable with video editing software (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).

  • Organizational Ability: You can look at a chaotic folder of content and turn it into a structured editorial calendar.

  • Values Alignment: You have a genuine interest in women’s health, shadow work, natural remedies, somatics, and/or qi gong. You don’t need to be an expert, but you must be genuinely curious about those.

  • Self-Starter Mentality: You don’t wait to be told what to do. You see a problem and you find a solution, checking in before posting anything.

  • Excellent Communication: You are fluent in English (written and verbal) and communicate promptly when working remotely.

  • Core Values: You operate with integrity, honesty, a spirit of service, respect, and fun. We take this work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Key Responsibilities

1. Channel Architecture & Setup

  • YouTube: Organize and set up the channel from the backend. Create playlists, optimize metadata, and establish a content flow that is coherent and seamless.

  • Instagram: Revitalize the Instagram presence, ensuring the grid reflects the studio’s ethos while being structured for growth.

2. Content & Video Editing

  • Edit short-form content (Reels, Shorts) and long-form video assets for cohesion.

  • Ensure all video content is optimized for engagement and retention across platforms.

  • Edit and organize courses and other offerings on the website

3. Audience Growth (Organic)

  • Develop and implement strategies to expand our organic reach.

  • Identify trends within the wellness, somatics, and shadow work niches to create timely, relevant content.

4. Automation & Client Onboarding

  • Design and implement an automated environment to ensure potential clients are onboarded smoothly and feel well-cared for.

  • Streamline the user journey from social media discovery to becoming a part of the Black Moon Studio community.

What You Gain

While this is an educational internship designed for portfolio building, we deeply value your time and energy. In exchange for your contribution, you will receive:

  • Full Access to Offerings: Complimentary access to all Black Moon Studio courses, workshops, and memberships relevant during your 3-month internship.

  • Portfolio Development: You will leave with a robust portfolio showcasing your ability to grow an audience, manage backend automation, and edit high-quality content.

  • Mentorship: Direct collaboration with the founder. You will gain insight into how a holistic wellness microcosm operates..

  • Creative Freedom: We are not looking for a "button-pusher." Your ideas will be heard, tested, and implemented.

WORKFLOW

  • Remote Flexibility: Work from wherever you are. Hours are flexible, consistency and effectiveness are the priority.

  • Weekly Alignment: We hold one 60-minute call per week to review goals, set priorities for the week ahead, and align on strategy. Outside of this call, communication is handled via messaging.

  • Time Commitment: Maximum of 15 hours per week. Because this is a project-based role, the actual time required varies depending on how quickly you execute tasks.

  • Trial Period: We will begin with a 2-week onboarding period. This is to evaluate your skills, and for you to evaluate if Black Moon Studio feels like the right environment for you. We want to ensure we work well together before committing to the full 3 months.
